You have arrived! This is a place for you to listen to real people talk about the stuff they love. Simple as that.
Tell Me Something Good is a collection of good things – in short-form audio – submitted by real people. Their stories most likely haven’t been edited. The audio quality might be low. It might just be a sound-scape. Are you open to the possibilities?
Imagine you’re sitting across from your best friend who can’t shut up about their most recent hyperfixation – their eyes are bright with excitement and they are gesticulating all over the place explaining it to you. You’re right there along with them; you might not totally get it yet, but you can see how much they love it, so you listen a little harder. You feel your ears perk up, you feel your heart swell, and you’re reminded of all the good stuff in the world, amidst all of the pain and chaos.
It makes you think about the things that light up your own life, that make your life rich and complex and beautiful. That’s what this project is all about: a reminder to examine closely the beauty that is already around us, and to give us respite in a churning world, even for a few minutes.
What’s the story behind all the stories?
This project is love letter to the world. Read more here.
A note about the library: The only requirement for these stories is that they do not contain language, ideas, or themes that cause harm to others. In these stories, you may find strong language. You may hear stories of people talking about things that you do not like. Here is a friendly reminder that we often fear the things we don’t understand, so you are invited to listen with openness and curiosity. Or simply skip a story if it’s not for you!
